The Industrial- One of the most popular cartilage piercings is the industrial. This piercing goes through two places in the cartilage of the ear, but it is worn with only one piece of jewelry. The piercing goes through right above the forward helix and comes out right above the conch piercing. The industrial is worn with one long industrial barbell.
Forward Helix- This piercing is placed on the outer rim of the ear. The placement is typically along the side of the head. Depending on the person’s ear that is being pierced you may or may not be able to get this piercing.
Daith- The daith is a very popular piercing that is placed right above the opening for the ear canal. This piercings is usually done with a captive bead ring. Keep in mind that with cartilage piercing not everyone can get certain piercings as the shape of the ear wont allow it.
Tragus– Is a very popular piercing that is placed on the flap of cartilage that is right outside of the ear canal. There are many different types of jewelry that can be worn in this piercing but it is usually pierced with a short barbell or horseshoe ring.
Helix/Cartilage– One of the most common cartilage piercings is the helix. This piercing is placed on the edge of the upper rim of the ear and is usually pierced with a captive bead ring or short barbell.
Rook– is another piercing that has grown rapidly in popularity it is the piercing of the thick cartilage above the daith. The rook is typically pierced with a curved barbell.
Snug– Is a piercing that is placed on the inner rim of the ear directly across from the daith this piercing is not commonly seen and is typically pierced with a curved barbell.
Conch– Is another rare cartilage piercing that is found in the center of the ear directly across from the ear canal and is usually pierced with a curved barbell or captive bead ring.
