The Daith Piercing which is pronounced “day-th” is an ear piercing that goes through the innermost cartilage fold of the ear. The daith is very close to the tragus.

The healing process of the daith can take a bit longer than other cartilage piercings as this piercing tends to be a bit larger than others, the healing can take a bit longer. The tragus piercing is usually done with a 16 gauge or 14 gauge needle depending on the piercer. The tragus piercing can take up to 6 months to heal. You should follow the instructions of your piercer for healing and go back to them before you change your jewelry.
With both of these particular cartilage piercings during the healing process you should avoid using the phone, ear phones, hair spray, and other things that may touch or aggravate the piercing during the healing process.
